Wigle whiskey aprEs skiSEPTEMBER 2025
This was a freelance project I worked on for Wigle Whiskey, as part of their 2025 Holiday Collection. I designed the “Chocolate Turtle Apres Ski” Whiskey label.
THE PROCESS:
MOODBOARD AND INSPIRATION:
For this design, Wigle Whiskey wanted an Apres Ski themed bottle for one of their holiday drinks. They sent me over a mood board with photos like these on it, and I went and did further research as well. They specifically pointed out the top left photo and top right photo as inspiration, so I wanted to try and see how I could incorporate those concepts into their own label.
ILLUSTRATIONS:
For the compositions, I put the different elements together to create a scene that was interesting but still kept enough room for the text that would need to be added later. I also added a grain texture to make the label feel more vintage to match the Apres Ski aesthetic.
For my concept, I decided to go with the idea of having a glass of whiskey with the ice cube being the mountain that the skiers are going down. To do this, I began by just illustrating multiple skiers along with a glass of whiskey. I wanted to keep them simple because I knew that they would be pretty small on the bottle, so the less detail the better.
COMPOSITIONS:
After going back and forth with the clients for a bit, we agreed that this font that I gave them the option of worked the best with the composition, and gave the label a really great, vintage feeling to it.

Overall, this was such a great project to work on, and I’m super happy with how it came out. As my first official freelance project I am really proud of it and it taught me so much about the professional graphic design world.
